Wilma Mills age 89, of Portland passed away Saturday morning December 19, 2020 at Chalet Village in Berne. She was born in Portland on September 29, 1931 the daughter of Jim and Esther (King) Wrightsman. She was married on January 31, 1948 to Jesse Mills Jr. and he passed away on March 21, 2001. Wilma had worked in the dietary department of the Jay County Hospital. She was a member of the Jay County Hospital Aux., Homemakers Extension and First Baptist Church.

Surviving are two sons Jesse Mills III of Salamonia and Michael Mills (wife Phyllis) of New Bern, N.C., Three daughters Linda McCormick of Dunkirk, Debra Clevenger (husband David) of Troy, Ohio and Connie Lyons (husband Joe) of Portland, Eleven grandchildren and several great, great great and great great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter Sue Keen.

Funeral services will be Wednesday December 23, 2020 at 2:00 PM in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Hugh Kelly presiding. Burial will follow in the Claycomb Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday one hour prior to the services. Memorials can be made to Jay County Humane Society or Choice of the Donor.
