Wanda J. Branscum, age 83, of Dunkirk passed away on Friday April 26, 2024 in IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie.  She was born in Jay County on May 26, 1940 the daughter of Keith and Olah (Woodard) Bost.  She was married to Clarence Branscum and he passed away in 1994.  Wanda had retired from Saint Gobain and attended the Redkey Nazarene Church.  She was a graduate of Gray High School.  Wanda loved word search games, embroidering and her dog Cricket.

Surviving is a daughter Jacqueline Patterson (husband Brad) of Dunkirk, Three grandchildren Kendra Shaw (husband Chris), Chase Wellman and Nathan Patterson, Four great grandchildren Arianna Shaw, Harlow Ryan, River Shaw and Lennon Shaw.  She was preceded in death by a son Christopher Allen Harshman and siblings Marvin Bost, Joseph Bost, Glen Bost, Cletis Bost, Clinis Bost, Cleon Bost, Weldon Bost, Victor Bost, Arlene Hambrock and Betty Rotino.

Funeral services will be Saturday May 4, 2024 at 12:00 Noon in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Donathan presiding.  Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery in Dunkirk.  Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 – 12:00.  Memorials can be made to Jay County Cancer Society or Alzheimers Association.   Online condolences at www.bairdfreeman.com
