Vickie M. Rines age 60 of rural Portland passed away Saturday November 24 ^th , 2018 in the Albany Healthcare. She was born in Portland November 8, 1958 the daughter of Harold and Shirley (Wright) Evans. She was married October 8, 1983 to John Stewart Rines who survives. She had worked in the business department of Jay County Hospital. Prior to that she had worked for Teledyne Portland Forge, Jay School Corp., Createc and Tiara Glass. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, 1977 Jay County High School graduate and volunteered for July 4 ^th Parade.

Surviving are her husband Stewart, daughter Janna Maitlen (husband Andrew) of Indianapolis, mother Shirley Evans of Portland, brother John Evans (wife Lisa) of Portland, mother in law Cletes Rines of Portland and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 10:00 AM in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Allison Yankee presiding. Burial will follow in the Green Park Cemetery.
