Timothy J. Smith, age 78, of Portland passed away at his residence after a sudden illness.  He was born in Muncie, Indiana on May 3, 1948 the son of Melvin 'Gene" and Geraldine (Cooper) Smith.  Tim served in the US Army and was a Dunkirk High School graduate.  He had worked for Fort Recovery Industries and Sheller Globe.

There will be no funeral services.  Baird-Freeman Funeral Home are handling the arrangements.  Memorials can be made to the choice of the donor.
