Thomas Lyons, age 86, of rural Portland passed away on Thursday September 29, 2022 in Reid Hospital in Richmond, Indiana.  He was born in Jay County on April 28, 1936 the son of Rex and Floy ( Wade) Lyons.  He was married on April 27, 1958 to Annabelle Corle and she passed away on July 1, 1997.  Tom served in the US Army and was a 1954 Portland High School graduate.  He was a salesman for Klink Trucking, Muncie Paving and Ashland Oil.  Tom played guitar for Shady Grove String Band, enjoyed collecting Indian artifacts, making arrowheads, hunting, fishing and was a Civil War buff.

Surviving are on daughter Suzanne Fields of Portland, one brother John Lyons (wife Sandy) of Portland and one grandson Cody Fields of New Smyrna Beach, Florida.  He was preceded in death by a daughter Christie.

There will be no funeral services.  Baird-Freeman Funeral Home are handling the arrangements.
