Loriene Sue Sanders, age 80, of Portland passed away on Tuesday December 6, 2022 in IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.  She was born in Portland on June 17, 1942 the daughter of Arthur and Betty (Lare) Keen.  She was married on October 3, 1964 to James Sanders who survives.  Sue had been an Administrative Assistant for T.W.O. Inc., manager of Richard's Gift Shop, secretary Sheller Globe for seventeen years, secretary at Don Thonn Accounting and was owner of "The Tin Cup" Antique Shop.  She was owner and collector of antiques and an Antique Dealer at Antique Malls.  She was a 1960 Portland High School graduate and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Surviving are her husband James, one son Dean Sanders (wife June) of Portland, two grandchildren Brooke A. Sanders and Kyle A. Sanders both of Portland. She also is survived by an aunt, several nephews and a sister in law.

Funeral services will be Tuesday December 13, 2022 at 1:00 PM in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Arnold presiding.  Burial will follow in the Green Park Cemetery.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 11:00 AM till 1:00 PM.  Memorials can be made to the Jay County Humane Society.
