Steven L. "Steve" Miller, age 65, of rural Portland passed away on Monday June 26, 2023 at his residence.  He was born in Normandy, Missouri on September 18, 1957 the son of Patricia Miller.  He was married on September 18, 1979 to Tina Imel who survives.  Steve was retired from F.C.C. in Portland.  He was a 1976 Jay County High School graduate, enjoyed UTV riding, fishing and watching nature.

Surviving are his wife Tina, one son Steven Miller (wife Katrina) of Portland, two daughters Tonya Myers (husband Ryan) of Portland and Erin Bright (husband Justin) of Portland, One brother Jamie Nunn of Portland, two sisters Kathy Saunders (husband Paul) of Redkey and Kim Sawire (husband Curtis) of Arkansas, one aunt Ann Ryan of Portland, Eight grandchildren

There will be no funeral services.  Baird-Freeman Funeral Home are handling the arrangements. Memorials can be made to the Jay County Humane Society of the Jay County Cancer Society.
