Sharon Smitley age 84, of rural Portland passed away Monday December 28, 2020 in Arbor Trace in Richmond, Indiana. Sharon was born in Jay County on March 29, 1936 the daughter of Verner and Nevo (Haffner) Ickes. She was married on April 4, 1954 to James Smitley who passed away on January 16, 2016. She was a homemaker and 1953 Portland High School graduate.
Surviving are two sons Steve Smitley (wife Norma) of Richmond and Mike Smitley of Cadiz, Kentucky, Four grandchildren and six great grandchildren
There will be no funeral services. Baird-Freeman Funeral Home are in charge of arrangements. Memorials can be made to the choice of the donor.
