Sharon Huey age 79, 430 West Lafayette Street Portland passed away Friday morning in I. U. Ball memorial Hospital. She was born in Jay County March 17, 1938 the daughter of Donald and Alice Mae (Krouse) Shoemaker. She was married to Joe Dean Myers who died in 1997 and then Kenneth Huey who died in 2000. She was a retired bookkeeper for Bryant Elevator and Pennville Feed and Grain. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, was a music teacher and graduate of Bryant High School and received a music degree from Ball State University.

Surviving are two daughters Jill Twigg of Portland and Kelli Jo Lawrence (husband John) of Portland, Seven grandchildren and Fourteen Great-grandchildren

A memorial service will be held at a later date with burial in the Gravel Hill Cemetery. Memorials can be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church or Bryant Community Center. Baird-Freeman Funeral Home are in charge of arrangements.
