Shane Brotherton age 43, 107 South Meridian Street Bryant passed away Wednesday near Ottowa, Ohio after a sudden illness. He was born in Decatur May 4, 1973 the son of Randy and Vickie (Doherty) Brotherton. He was a truck driver in his family owned trucking business. He was a 1991 Jay County High School graduate and was active in Derby and Race Cars.

Surviving are his parents Randy and Vickie Brotherton of Bryant, His longtime companion Donna Wendel of Bryant, three sons Dylan Brotherton of Bryant, Cole Brotherton of Bryant and Caleb Brotherton of Bryant, two daughters Dacia Huntsman of Portland and Carly Brotherton of Bryant, one brother Shaun Brotherton (wife Kayla) of Portland, Two grandchildren and a niece and nephew.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 5:00 PM in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Bob Miller presiding. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 – 5:00 PM. Memorials can be made to the choice of donor.
