Sandra F. Gant, age 79, of Portland passed away Saturday morning November 27, 2021 at her residence. She was born in Muncie on October 25, 1942 the daughter of Marion and Vera (Adams) Cole. She was married on May 13, 1965 to Bobby Gant and he passed away on January 8, 2004. She was a 1960 Eaton High School graduate. Sandra was retired as a secretary having worked for Dr. Spalding and Mel Smitley. She also had worked for Wal-Mart. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene and liked to travel and go fishing.

Surviving are three sons Rodney Gant of Winchester, Jerry Gant (wife Tina) of El Chaon, Ca. and Tony Gant (wife Vicky) of Winchester, two daughters Bonnie Weatherhead (husband Bob) of Ridgeville and Deborah Study ( husband Gary) of Pennville, her longtime companion Gordon Holcomb of Portland, 20 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter Patricia Harris

Funeral services will be Thursday December 2, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Cecil presiding. Burial will follow in the Lawndale Cemetery in Ridgeville. Visitation will be Thursday from 12:00 – 2:00 PM. Memorials can be made to First Church of the Nazarene or American Disabled Veterans.
