Ruth Ellenberger age 87 a Portland resident passed away late
Thursday
evening in Persimmon Ridge Healthcare in Portland. She was born in Jay County March 13, 1929 the daughter of Carl and Mabel (Sanders) Pfeifer.
She had worked at Jimmy's Restaurant and the Portland Country Club.
Surviving are two sons Daniel Ellenberger of Kokomo and Dale Ellenberger of Marion, two daughters Diane Landers of Portland and Dorena Ellenberger of Columbia City, one sister Norma Brumbaugh of Portland, Five grandchildren, Six great grandchildren and two great great.
Private family services will be held at a later date with burial in the Salamonia Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the Jay County Humane Society or Jay County Heart Fund.
