Ronald Duane Twigg, age 79, of Portland passed away on Friday April 26, 2024 at his residence.  He was born in Jay County on December 8, 1944 the son of Roscoe and Rozella Irene (Worth) Twigg.  He was married on November 22, 1969 to Barbara Gaston who survives.  He was a 1962 Bryant High School graduate, served in the US Army from 1965 – 1967, member of Arch Bridge Kroozers and Asbury United Methodist Church.  Ron had worked for Hardy Chevrolet and Arm's Body Shop.

Surviving is his wife Barbara, one daughter Angela Twigg of Portland, two brothers Fred Twigg (wife Elaine) of Ohio and Rick Twigg of Portland, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.  He is also survived by his dogs Isabella and Benjie.  He was preceded in death by a brother Phillip Twigg.

Funeral services will be held Thursday May 2, 2024 at 11:00 AM in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Boggs presiding.  Burial will follow in the Green Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3:00 – 7:00 PM. Memorials can be made to Critical Care at Asbury United Methodist Church.
