Roger L. Stone, age 72, of Portland passed away Friday September 25, 2026 in IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. He was born in Portland on February 9, 1954 the son of Edward Ray and Olga Louise (Armstrong) Stone. He was married in 1973 to Sondra Lea Coleman who survives. Roger had worked at EPC in Geneva and was a self employed junker. He was a member of Portland Eagles Lodge, enjoyed junking and drinking coffee and visiting with friends.

Surviving are two sons Travis Stone of Portland and Jason Stone (wife Revon Reynolds) of Portland, daughter Haley Stone (Arley) of Portland, five sisters Vicki Corle (husband Roger) of Portland, Susie Reitenour (husband Rocky) of Portland, Connie Hiatt (husband Todd) of Portland, Tina Cavanaugh (husband Chris) of Portland and Tammy Wilhelm of Evansville, three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son Tyler Stone and brothers James Stone and Ken Stone.

Funeral services will be Friday October 2nd at 10:00 AM in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Nan Weesner presiding. Burial will follow in the Green Park Cemetery.
