Rodney B. Puterbaugh, age 90, of Portland passed away on Saturday December 28, 2024 in IU Health Jay County Hospital.  He was born in Greenville, Ohio on December 27, 1934 the son of Dubois and Inez (Swank) Puterbaugh.  Rodney was a 1952 Portland High School graduate, served in the US Army and the Naval Reserves and was a member of the American Legion.  He was retired from Teledyne Portland Forge.  He was an avid golfer, did auto restoration work and enjoyed spending his winters in Florida.

Surviving are two sons Curt Puterbaugh (wife Missy) of Portland and David Puterbaugh (wife Carmen) of Geneva,  Three grandchildren and six great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by a sister Lora Lee Warner.

There will be no funeral services.  Baird-Freeman Funeral Home are handling the arrangements.  Memorials can be made to any Hospice.  Online condolences at www.bairdfreeman.com
