Roberta Pogue, age 98, of Portland passed away on Sunday June 16, 2024 in the Kingston at Dupont in Fort Wayne.  She was born in Jay County on March 26, 1926 the daughter of Russell and Gladys (Reid) Lare.  She was married in 1973 to Ralph Pogue and he passed away in 2008.  Roberta had worked for Jay Garment  and then CTS for 25 years before retiring.

Surviving are two daughters Shirley Mann (husband Fred) of Portland and Jerri Jones of New Haven.  Four grandchildren Randy Mann (wife Tami), Tracy Winn, J.D. Jones wife Daphne) and Jambie Gaff, 12 great grandchildren and 14  great great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph, grandson Kevin Mann and several siblings.

Funeral services will be Friday June 21, 2024 at 11:00 AM in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Hugh Kelly presiding.  Burial will be in the Green Park Cemetery.  Visitation will one hour prior to the services.  Memorials can be made to the choice of the donor.  Online condolences at www.bairdfreeman.com
