Robert D. Hambrock age 70, of Portland passed away Sunday July 19, 2020 at his residence following an extended illness. Born in Portland on September 29, 1949 he was the son of Charles and Arlene (Bost) Hambrock. He was married on August 30, 1974 to Barbara McKee who survives. Robert was retired from the Portland Street Dept. after 38 years.

He attended the First Church of the Nazarene in Portland and was a 1967 Redkey High School graduate.

Surviving are his wife Barbara, two sons Brett Hambrock of Portland and Brock Hambrock (wife Chastity) of Portland, two brothers Jim Hambrock of Portland and Rick Hambrock (wife Carrie) of Portland, one sister Cathy Garringer of Portland, Seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister Sue Garinger and a brother Tom Hambrock.

Funeral services will be Wednesday July 22, 2020 at 2:00 PM in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastors Eric Hambrock and Steve Hundley presiding. Burial will follow in the Bluff Point Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 12:00 – 2:00 PM. Memorials can be made to the Jay County Cancer Society or Visiting Nurses and Hospice Home.
