Richard "Dick" McGalliard age 74, 619 North Ship Street Portland passed away Saturday evening at his residence. He was born in Gaston on November 5, 1942 the son of Orville and Veda (Bennett) McGalliard. He was owner and operator of Portland Pizza King since 1967. He was a 1960 Gaston High School graduate, member of Portland Eagles Lodge, Portland Elks Lodge, Sons of Legion, Portland Moose Lodge and attended Asbury United Methodist Church.

Surviving are one son Brian McGalliard of Dunkirk and one daughter Sheri McGalliard of Hartford City, one sister Sarah Hazelbaker of Muncie and Eleven grandchildren
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2:00 PM in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Green Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00 – 2:00 PM. Memorials can be made to Jay County Humane Society.
