Penny Imel age 71, former Portland resident passed away Thursday February 14, 2019 in Parkview Randalia in Fort Wayne. She was born in Portland September 30, 1947 the daughter of Roy and Betty (Foster) Collins. She was married November 13, 1988 to Clarence Imel and he died March 6, 2015. She had owned a cleaning business for twenty five years, member of Eastern Star for fifty years, White Shrine, Amaranth, Fairview United Methodist Church and was a grief councelor for Hospice.

Surviving are a daughter Angela Hayden of Fort Wayne and a granddaughter Marianna Vasquez of Fort Wayne.

Memorial services will be held Wednesday February 20, 2019 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Dave McClellan presiding. Burial will be in the Reitenour Cemetery in Randolph County. Memorials can be made to Hospice Group of Indianapolis or Jay County Library.
