Peggy Wood age 73, 113 Green Park Drive Portland died Sunday morning in IU Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie. She was born inn Portland July 6, 1943 the daughter of Charles and Ilene (Ludy) Conn. She was married August 24, 1961 to Anthony "Tony" Wood and he died January 1, 2000. She was a homemaker, member of Jehovah's Witness and a Richmond High School graduate.
Surviving are four sons Charles "Chuck" Wood (wife Marie) of Portland, Nathan Wood (wife Becky) of Yorktown, Steven Wood of Birmingham, AL and Bruce Wood (wife Sylvia) of Portland, one daughter Amanda Specht (husband Hugh) of Richmond, two sisters Sue Breese of Richmond and Amy Conn of Delaware, Ohio, Thirteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren
Funeral services will be Thursday at 3:00 PM in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Keith Pepple presiding. Burial will follow in the Green Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 1:00 – 3:00 PM Memorials can be made to the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation.
