Paul L. Franks age 84, of Portland passed away Sunday September 15, 2019 in Bluffton Regional Hospital. He was born in Portland May 21, 1935 the son of James T. and Irene (Nickols) Franks. He was married September 28, 1961 to Alice Davis who survives. He was retired as a mechanic at Ball State University.

Surviving are his wife of 57 years Alice, three sons Chester Franks (wife Amy) of Portland, Doug Franks of Portland and Lucas Franks (wife Anna) of Dunkirk, three daughters Arlinda Etchison (husband Jerry) of Frankton, Sheryl Ballard (husband Greg) of Portland and Sabrina Pax of Portland, Fourteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Friday at 10:00 AM in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Arnold presiding. Burial will follow in the Woodland Cemetery in Maxville. Visitation will be Thursday from 3:00 – 7:00 PM. Memorials can be made to Kidney Foundation or Evangelical Methodist Church.
