Neva Saloma Bell (1916-2921) of Indianapolis, age 105, went to be with our Lord and her loving husband Simeon K. Bell (S.K.) on September 18, 2021.

Neva is survived by three children, Bev Barron of Gig Harbor, Washington, Kenneth Bell of Garland, Texas and Dennis Bell of Bonney Lake, Washington, 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Neva was born January 26, 1916 in Perrinton, Michigan, daughter of Eddie J. and Clara Fricke. She spent her early years in Monroe, Indiana. After high school in Monroe she enrolled at Purdue University where she met her future husband S.K. Bell of Portland, Indiana and she graduated in 1938. Neva and S.K. were married in 1938 and were married for 67 years until his death in 2005. They lived most of their married years in Indianapolis.

They enjoyed travelling, especially to Mexico where they logged 23 trips. In 1994 they donated 40 acres of virgin timber land from the family farm in Jay County, Indiana to Indiana Nature Conservancy.

Neva was a proud Hoosier and was a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority, charter member of Epworth United Methodist Church, Eiteljorg Museum and Indiana State Museum.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday September 22, 2021 at 4:30 PM at Epworth United Methodist Church, 6450 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis.

Graveside services will be held Friday September 24, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. in Green Park Cemetery in the Bell family plot in Portland , Indiana.  Memorials can be given to the Eiteljorg Museum.
