Mona Marie Steed age 91, of Portland passed away Saturday August 15, 2020 at her residence. She was born in Portland on March 5, 1929 the daughter of Sylvestre and Irene Marie (Burkey) Robbins. She was married on March 15, 1947 to Carl Steed and he died on December 25, 2003. She was owner and operator of Carl Steed and Associates in Portland. She was a Portland High School graduate and attended Asbury United Methodist Church.

Surviving are on son Robert Steed (wife Sheila) of Richmond and one daughter Angela Steed Walker of Portland, three brothers Thomas Robbins of Portland, Larry Robbins of Portland and John Robbins (wife Mary) of Portland, one sister Mary Jeanette Lee of Portland, three grandchildren.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Baird-Freeman Funeral Home are in charge of arrangements. Memorials can be made to the Jay County Humane Society.
