Mary Alice Steveson age 91, of Portland passed away Wednesday August 11, 2021 in Persimmon Ridge Healthcare in Portland. Mary was born on January 17, 1930 in Kalamazoo, Michigan the daughter of Mirl and Lena (Showalter) Glessner. She was married on May 8, 1948 to Melvin Steveson and he passed away on March 20, 1999. She had worked at Jay Garment and attended First Baptist Church in Portland.

Surviving are a daughter in law Sue Steveson of Fort Wayne, one sister Gloria Witcus of Bluffton, Two grandchildren Tim Steveson (wife Dawn) and Tom Steveson (wife Kimberly) and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son Randy Steveson.

Graveside services will be held Monday August 16, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the Green Park Cemetery Chapel with Pastor Wayne Ward presiding. Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Online condolences at www.baird-freeman.com
