Mary Jeanette Lee, age 87, of Portland passed away Tuesday December 22, 2020 at her son's residence in Ossian, Indiana. She was born in Portland on October 8, 1933 the daughter of Sylvestre and Irene Marie (Burkey) Robbins. She was married on October 20, 1951 to Harold E. "Toad" Lee and he passed away on October 18, 2015. Jeanette had worked at Jay Garment and for Carl Steed and Associates in Portland. She also was owner of Dick's Pizza Palace in Portland.  She was a 1951 Portland High School graduate.

Surviving are one son Todd Lee (wife Lisa) of Ossian, three brothers Larry Robbins, Tom Robbins and John Robbins all of Portland, Ten grandchildren and Twenty great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters Teresa Boolman and Cheryl Geesaman.

Funeral services will be Monday December 28, 2020 at 11:00 AM in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Billy Stanton presiding. Burial will be in the Liber Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 10:00 – 11:00 AM. Memorials can be made to the Jay County Cancer Society.
