Marlene Rose Spafford joined our Almighty Father on January 29, 2019 surrounded by loved ones, after a courageous battle with an extended illness. Marlene was born November 23, 1947, in Muncie, Indiana.

We are blessed with many valuable lessons from Marlene, among them to continually have faith in God and in all things to always, "Declare the favor of The Lord."

Marlene's love and devotion to her boys drove her tireless work ethic. She brought so much beauty into this world through her positivity, laughter and unyielding faith in Jesus Christ. She was a ray of sunshine and will always be cherished.

She was preceded in death by her mother Ruby, father Leon and sister Judy.

Left to honor Marlene and remember her love are four sons Scott Cain (wife Peggy), Thomas Spafford (wife Jennifer), Anthony Spafford (wife Angie) and Jamie Spafford (wife Bethanna), Four grandchildren Autumn Forbes, Gabriel Spafford, Angel Spafford and Eliana Spafford, Three sisters Sharon Kohn, Linda Main and Mary Graham, Two brothers John Reagan and Roger Reagan and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Saturday February 9, 2019 in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Niemoeller presiding. Burial will follow in the Green Park Cemetery. Family will receive guests from 1:00 – 3:00 PM prior to the services. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Saint Jude Children's Hospital.
