Marilyn D. Shaneyfelt age 82, passed away early Wednesday May 20, 2020 in Persimmon Ridge Healthcare in Portland. She was born in Portland on February 9, 1938 the daughter of Alden and Opal (Robbins) Zerkel. She was married to Dale Shaneyfelt who survives. She was retired as a grocery clerk having worked at Ludwigs and Marsh Supermarkets in Portland for over 36 years. She attended Church of the Brethren, member of Portland Evening Optimists, Citizens Police Academy, Jay County Hospital Aux and a 1955 Portland High School graduate.

Surviving are her husband Dale, one son Doug Jackson (wife Debbie) of Portland, three daughters Jane Newhouse (husband Bill) of Youngstown, PA., Barbara Stahley of Portland and Sandy Love of Bluffton Seven grandchildren and Four Great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son Robert Jackson

Private Funeral services will be Saturday in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Hinshaw presiding. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 – 7:00 PM. Memorials can be made to Riley Children's Hospital.
