Margaret D. Dick age 84, of Berne and former Portland resident passed away Monday morning in IU Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie. She was born in Burnside, Kentucy August 9, 1933 the daughter of Forrest and Delitha (Shadoan) Bryant. She was married December 31, 1957 to Charlie Dick and he died June 1, 1979. She was a homemaker and had worked at Jay Garment and Pennville Custon Cabinets. She attended United Church of God in Indianapolis.

Surviving are two sons Charles W. Dick of Berne and John L. Dick (wife Dawn) of Portland, Five daughters Kay Wendel (husband Tim) of Celina, Mary Betz (husband Bob) of Somerset, KY., Ann Adair of Geneva, Stella Bessesen (husband Ted) of Pennville and Phoebe Robinette of Portland. 24 Grandchildren and several great grandchildren

She was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 3 :00 PM in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Bart Bornhoust presiding. Burial will follow in the Wells Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday from 12:00 – 2:00 PM. Memorials can be made to the Jay County Cancer Society.
