Louis E. Brown, age 67, of rural Portland passed away on Wednesday October 9, 2024 in IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.  He was born in Porland on August 10, 1957 the son Donald and Elsie (Huffman) Brown Sr.  Louis ad retured from U.T.A. and was a 1976 Jay Count High School graduate.  He was a member of Sons of the American Legion and enjoyed playing pool and geneology.

Surviving is a brother Donald Brown (wife Colleen) of Portland and a sister Brenda Herrmann (husband Mike) of Monticello, uncle Larry Jackson of Albany and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday November 9th from 4:00 - 7:00 PM in the American Legion Post #211 in Portland.  Memorials can be made to the Jay County Humane Society.
