Lori D. Smith age 59 of Portland passed away Saturday at her residence. She was born in Portland August 15, 1959 the daughter of Richard L. and Patricia A. (Arnold) Rector. She was married June 23, 1979 to James Smith who survives. She had worked at JCI, Sharon's Monogram and waitressed at Kates Coffee Shop and Korner Kafe. She was a 1977 Jay County High School graduate.

Surviving are her husband James, one daughter Jamie D. Bonvillan (husband Glenn) of Bryant, one brother Chris Rector (wife Corina) of Geneva and one grandson Devon Nerone.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11:00 AM in the Green Park Cemetery Chapel with visitation from 10:00 – 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in the Green Park Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the Jay County Cancer Society. Baird-Freeman Funeral Home are in charge of arrangements
