Linda J. Cox age 71, 1114 South Bridge Street Portland passed away Tuesday in Bluffton Regional Medical Center. She was born in Portland September 1, 1944 the daughter of Charles and Irene (King) Ferguson. She was married October 6, 1983 to Dan Cox who survives. She had been an apartment manager in Springfield, Ohio. She was a Portland High School graduate and member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
Surviving are her husband Dan, three sons Dr. Michael Bibler (wife Sue) of Kearney, NE, Matthew Bibler of Niles, MI and Peter Bibler (wife Mei Lin) of Shanghai, China, Six step-children Renee Klink of Angola, Rhonda Cox of Wheat Ridge, CO, Raelynn Cox of Angola, Robert Cox of Freemont, Richard Cox (wife Megan) of Ft. Wayne and Scott Cox (wife Debbie) of Ft. Wayne, Thirteen Step-grandchildren and several step great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Monday at 11:00 AM in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Father Robert Moran presiding. Visitation will be from 10:00 – 11:00 AM Monday. Memorials can be made to Jay County Cancer Society or Family Lifecare Hospice.
