Lilly L. Butcher age 89, 310 West Seventh Street Portland passed away Monday in Persimmon Ridge Healthcare. She was born in Ft. Wayne June 5, 1928 the daughter of Oliver and Ruby (Hines) Boolman. She was married August 10, 1946 to Homer Butcher who survives. She had worked at CTS in Berne and Jay Garment.

Surviving are her husband Homer, one brother Nolan Boolman of Portland, two sisters Genevieve Newton of Portland and Jeanette Newton of Mississippi and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sons Terry Butcher and Larry Allen Butcher.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2:00 PM in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Hines presiding. Burial will follow in the Gravel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 12:00 – 2:00 PM. Memorials can be made to the Jay County Humane Society.
