Lelia DeBoy age 97 passed away Thursday morning in Persimmon Ridge Healthcare. She was born in Portland June 17, 1918 the daughter of William and Cora (VanSkyock) Hoover. She was married to Joe DeBoy and he died March 14, 1985. She had worked for State Farm Insurance, Field Enterprises Educational Organization, Jay Garment and was a cake decorator. She was a member of Clearcreek Christian Church.
Surviving are a son Rick DeBoy of Portland, one brother Weldon Hoover of Ridgeville, Four grandchildren Jennifer DeBoy of Dunkirk, Wendy DeBoy of Portland, Kathy Caldwell of Farmstown, Ky and Julie Caldwell of Farmstown, Ky, Nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son Larry.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2:00 P.M. In the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Smith presiding. Burial will follow in the Green Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 12:00 – 2:00 P.M. Memorials can be made to the choice of the donor.
