Larry J. Moore age 81, of Redkey passed  away on Monday April 10, 2023 at his residence.  He was born in Geneva, Indiana on April 29, 1941 the son of Russel and Helen (Myers) Moore.  He was married to Diana Smith and she preceded him in death.  He had worked at Sheller Globe for eighteen years and retired from Indiana Glass.  He served in the US Army from 1966 – 1968 serving in Vietnam. He attended Ridgeville High School and is a member of Ridgeville American Legion.  He was a longtime horse trader, loved auctions, flea markets and oldtime westerns.

Surviving are his longtime companion Lorine Hall of Redkey, one son Keith Moore (wife Suzy) of Ridgeville, one daughter Rhonda Short of Redkey, four sisters Donna Lee of Indianapolis, Janet Acker (husband Ronald) of Ridgeville, Linda Hopkins (husband Jerry) of Portland and Brenda Evans (husband Danny) of Portland, Six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife Diana and a son Todd Moore.

Funeral services will be Saturday April 15, 2023 at 10:00 AM in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Smith presiding.  Burial will follow in the Salamonia Cemetery with military graveside rites by Ridgeville American Legion.  Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 – 7:00 PM.  Memorials can be made to Disabled American Veterans.  Online condolences at www.bairdfreeman.com
