Larry Joe Johnson age 60, 2782 North 300 West Portland passed away Monday at his residence. He was born in Portland May 28, 1957 the son of Delbert and Helen (Davidson) Johnson. He was a farmer and 1975 Portland High School graduate. He was a member of Indiana Sheriff's Association.

Surviving are one niece Kristyn Marley of Portland, three nephews Travis Hodgson of Pennville, Brandon Hodgson of Bryant and Joshua Hodgson of Portland and several cousins.

Private funeral services will be held in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Harris presiding. Burial will be in the Center Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the Jay County Humane Society.
