Judy Eglan, age 62, of Portland passed away on Wednesday January 17, 2024 at her residence.  She was born in Portland on April 26, 1961 the daughter of Richard and Genny (Boolman) Newton.  Judy was retired from FCC in Portland.  She was a 1979 Jay County High School graduate.

Surviving are one daughter April Ludy (Husband Steve) of Greer, South Carolina, her mother Genny Newton of Portland, sister Sandy Newton of Portland and three grandsons Bailey, Mason and Peyton Ludy.  Several nieces and nephews   She was preceded in death by a sister Nyoka Smith and a brother Richard Newton and her father Richard Newton.

The family will receive guests from 10:00 AM till 12:00 Noon on Saturday January 20, 2024 in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home.  Memorials can be made to the Jay County Humane Society.
