Joanna Ruth Bailey age 93, former Portland resident passed away Saturday in Manchester, Tennessee. She was born in Portland January 6, 1923 the daughter of Alva and Gladys Coon (Binegar) Schuler. She was married to Joseph A. Bailey who preceded her in death.

Surviving are a son Bill Bailey (wife Becky) of Portland, daughter Joyce Brock of Beechgrove, TN., ten grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter Mary Bradburn, two grandchildren, five brothers and a sister.
Funeral services will be Friday at 3:00 PM in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with burial in the Gravel Hill Cemetery in Bryant. Visitation will be Friday from 1:00 – 3:00 PM. Memorials can be made to the Jay County Cancer Society.
