Janet S. Fifer, age 78, of rural Geneva passed away on Wednesday December 8, 2021 in Adams Woodcrest Nursing Home in Decatur. She was born in Delaware County on March 4, 1943 the daughter of Frank and Pauline (Richards) Clevenger. She was married on September 12, 1964 to Richard Fifer who survives. Janet was a homemaker and had worked at Bearcreek Farms and as a teachers aid at Bloomfield Elementary School. She was a graduate of Hartford Center High School, member of Bryant Wesleyan Church and enjoyed crafts, sewing and her grandchildren.

Surviving are her husband Richard, three sons Rex Fifer (Fiance Valerie Welker) of Yorktown, Rory Fifer (wife Laura) of Bryant and Ryan Fifer (wife Paula) of Bryant, one sister Vickie Landers (husband Bob) of Geneva and Five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday December 13, 2021 in the Bryant Wesleyan Church with Pastor Paul VanCise presiding. Burial will follow in the Gravel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 – 7:00 PM in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home and Monday from 9:00 – 10:00 AM at the church. Memorials can be made to Gideons.
