James H. Armstrong age 75, of Portland passed away Wednesday morning June 26, 2019 in the IU Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie. He was born in Farmers, Kentucky November 1, 1943 the son of Ray and Ora (Ingram) Armstrong. He was married January 21, 1965 to Brenda Brock who survives. He served in the US Army. He was retired as a truck driver for Cheeseman's Trucking. He was a member of the NRA.

Surviving are a nephew Matt Armstrong (wife Mindy) of Portland, a daughter Misty Pace (husband John) of Portland, one brother Ralph Armstrong (wife Candy) of Portland , one sister Shirley Lewis of Portland, several grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Monday July 1, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the Green Park Cemetery Chapel with Pastor Hugh Kelly presiding. Burial will follow. Visitation will be from 10:00 – 11:00 AM in the chapel. Memorials can be made to the Diabetes Foundation.
