Jacquelyn Ann Grady age 85, of Portland passed away Sunday August 23, 2020 in the IU Health Jay County Hospital following a sudden illness. She was born in Madison Twp., Jay County on September 9, 1934 the daughter of Victor and Mary Esther (Degler) Jetter. She was married on September 1, 1965 to Max Grady who passed away on October 11, 2019. She was retired from Jay Garment and ran Best Wishes in Portland for seven years. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Jay County Hospital Aux., Pregnancy Care Center, Delta Theta Tau, graduate of Madison Twp. High School and took nurses training at Methodist Hospital for two years.

Surviving are two daughters Peggy Lu Smiley of Portland and Marcia Lea Snow (husband Brayton) of Fort Wayne, one sister Alice L. Smiley of Union City, In., four grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and thirteen great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Thursday August 27th at 11:00 AM in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Fr. Peter Logsdon presiding. Burial will follow in the Green Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2:00 – 8:00 PM. Memorials can be made to the Pregnancy Care Center of Portland.
