Jack Cavanaugh age 78, of Portland passed away Thursday October 22, 2020 in IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. He was born in Bryant on July 5, 1942 the son of Donald and Joan (Gray) Cavanaugh. He had worked as a barber and was owner and operator of a machine shop. Jack graduated from Bryant High School and member of Gold Wing Road Riders Association. Jack was also a pilot and had built his own airplane. He was an avid gun collector and deer hunter.

Surviving are two daughters Karen Smith and Jo Bennet, one brother Larry Cavanaugh (wife Sharon) of Portland.

Private services will be held and burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery in Pennville. Memorials can be made to the Kidney Foundation. Baird-Freeman Funeral Home are in charge of arrangements.
