George Perkins, age 75, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on Thursday October 1, 2026 at his residence. He was born in Fort Wayne on October 21, 1950 the son of George and Hedwige (Klejnot) Perkins. He was married on May 29, 1971 to Patricia Clemmer who survives. He was the owner of a car business and was involved in auto racing. He was a 1969 Bishop Dwenger High School graduate and was a car collector and enthusiast.

Surviving is his wife Patricia, two daughters Kara Perkins of Lighthouse Point, Florida and Janel Burchfield (husband Andrew) of Fishers, Indiana, brother Mark Perkins of Kendallville, sister Lisa Pyle of Fort Wayne and two grandchildren Olivia and Cole Burchfield. He was preceded in death by a sister Linda Bovine.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date at Colonial Oaks Golf Club, 8218 Hugenard Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Parkview Hospice or May Clinic. Baird-Freeman Funeral Home in Portland, Indiana ar handling the arrangements.
