George J. Perkins age 93 of Fort Wayne passed away Thursday in Parkview Regional Hospital in Fort Wayne. He was born in Fort Wayne September 1, 1923 the son of George and Laura (Smith) Perkins. He was married July 19, 1945 to Hedwige "Hattie" Klejnot who survives. He was retired from Fruehauf Trailer Corporation.
He is survived by his wife Hattie, two sons George A. Perkins of Fort Wayne and Mark Perkins of Kendalville, one daughter Lisa Pyle of Fort Wayne and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter Linda Bovine.
Graveside services will be held in the Chapel of the Catholic Cemetery on Tuesday at 11:00 AM with burial to follow. Memorials can be made to Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church or choice of the donor. Baird-Freeman Funeral Home in Portland, Indiana are in charge of arrangements.
