Frederick A. Coy, age 60, of Portland passed away on Tuesday October 7, 2025 in Cardinal Healthcare in Muncie.  He was born in Portland on September 2, 1965 the son of Fred and Patricia (Overla) Coy Jr.  Fred had worked for the Jay County Highway Dept. and helped in farming.  He was a 1983 Jay County High School graduate and was a member of the Masonic Lodge.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Surviving is his mother Patricia Coy of Portland, two sisters Patty Billington of Portland and Sally Wittwer of Portland.  He was preceded in death by a daughter Charlotte Rose Coy.

A celebration of life gathering will be held on Saturday October 18th at 2:00 PM in Hudson Park in Portland.

Funeral arrangements are pending in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home.  Memorials can be made to the Jay County Conservation Club.
