Florence Haney age 99, Decatur passed away Thursday in Woodcrest Nursing Home in Decatur. She was born in Portland April 5, 1917 the daughter of Nicholas and Mary (Minch) Hartnagel. She was a sales lady and bookkeeper for Singer Sewing Machine in Fort Wayne. She was a member of St. Mary of Assumption Catholic Church in Decatur and Women of St. Mary.

Surviving are a son Richard Knoth of Portland, one daughter Carolyn Carpenter of North Canton, Ohio, Twenty grandchildren, fifty one great grandchildren and twenty seven great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter Jeanette Secaur.
Funeral services will be Monday at 10:00 AM in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Portland with Father Robert Moran presiding. Burial will follow in the Green Park Cemetery in Portland. Visitation will be Monday from 9:00 -10:00 AM in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home. Memorials can be made to masses or Diabetes Association.
