Evelyn Green, age 92, of Portland passed away on Friday March 22, 2024 in The Waters of St Henry.  She was born in Salamonia on January 16, 1932 the daughter of Kenneth and Ida Fern (Kunkle) Hilfiker.  She was married on April 4, 1953 to William Green and he passed away on December 3, 2006.  She was a Madison Twp. High School graduate, member of Salamonia VFW Aux., Salamonia Womens Fire Aux and St James Lutheran Church.  She was retired from MSSL in 2016 and had worked at CTS.

Surviving are two sons Kenneth Green (wife Heather) of Portland and Donald Green of Portland, one granddaughter Bryndle

Funeral services will be on Wednesday March 27, 2024 at 10:00 AM in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Robin Owen presiding.  Burial will follow in the Salamonia Cemetery.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the funeral home.  Memorials can be made to Alzheimer's Association.
