Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Noble, age 90, of Portland passed away Thursday October 1, 2020 in Persimmon Ridge Healthcare in Portland. She was born in Union City, Ohio on November 17, 1929 the daughter of Maurice and Ruth (Holden) Peckham. She was married on May 25, 1948 to George Noble who survives. Betty was a homemaker and bookkeeper for Noble's Body Shop. She was a graduate of Eastside High School in Union City, Ohio. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Past Matron of Eastern Star, Girl Scout Leader and volunteered for Optimist Club, Band Boosters and many church events. Betty loved to travel, camping, gardening, cooking and baking. She was known for making french chewy,yeast rolls and pie making. She with her husband enjoyed motorcycling in their younger years.
Surviving are her husband of 72 years George, three daughters Martha Corwin (husband Robert) of Dayton, Ohio, Linda Shull of Portland and Barbara Watson (husband Jeff) of Covington, GA., daughter in law Dru Noble of Portland, Eleven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son George Noble.
Funeral services will be Tuesday October 6, 2020 at 2:00 PM in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home Home with Pastor Joe Boggs presiding. Burial will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery in Fort Recovery, Ohio. Visitation will be Tuesday from 12:00 – 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to Asbury United Methodist Church.
