Edna Stout age 86, of rural Portland passed away Wednesday December 11, 2019 in Persimmon Ridge Healthcare. She was born in Portland April 28, 1933 the daughter of Raymond and Marilla (Ferner) Peden. She was married September 23, 1951 to Leon Stout and he died on January 28, 1996. She was retired from CTS in Berne after over 40 years. She was a 1951 Portland High School graduate and member of Fairview Methodist Church.

Surviving are three sons Lonnie Stout (wife Jenny) of Portland, Chad Stout of Portland and Shane Stout (wife Amy) of Montague, Mass., one daughter Cindy Stewart (husband Greg) of Portland, Eleven grandchildren, Fifteen Great grandchildren and Two great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Monday December 16, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Hines presiding. Burial will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery in Fort Recovery. Visitation will be Sunday from 12:00 – 3:00 PM . Memorials can be made to the Jay County Cancer Society.
