Donald Eugene "Donnie" Hummer, age 76, of Portland passed away Tuesday morning June 8, 2021 in the IU Jay County Hospital. Born in Pennville on May 21, 1945 he was the son of James and Roberta (Cravens) Hummer. He had worked for the Jay County Surveyors Office retiring in 2008. He was an avid Portland Rockets baseball fan.

Surviving are two cousin Russell White of Portland and Steven White of Redkey.

Graveside services will be held at a later date in the IOOF Cemetery in Pennville. Memorials can be made to the Portland Rockets. Baird-Freeman Funeral Home are in charge of arrangements.
