Donna Jean Tyndall, age 83 of Portland, Indiana passed away following a sudden illness Saturday, July 23, 2022. She was born in Cincinnat, Ohio August 19, 1938 daughter of Richard and Bertha (Bohl) Carlson, (both deceased). In her youth the family moved from Cincinnati, Ohio and her father established Portland's Western Auto Store, where her parents, her brother and Donna worked for 50 years. She married James (Jim) Duane Tyndall (deceased) July 17, 1960 in Portland, Indiana. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Portland, Indiana for many years. She loved the Lord and wanted everyone to know about Jesus. She was a 1956 Portland High School graduate.

She was preceded in death by her sister Judith Ann Knight and brother in law Richard Knight.

Surviving are three daughters Lora Jefferson (husband deceased) of Portland, Jeana Clayton (husband David) of Portland and Sheila Tyndall of Sarasota, FL. One brother David Carlson (wife Sally) of Portland and one granddaughter Kenzie Clayton (daughter of David and Jeana Clayton)

Visitation will be Friday July 29, 2022 from 3:00 -7:00 pm at Baird-Freeman Funeral Home Portland, IN with Funeral Services Saturday July 30, 2022 at 9:30 AM at Baird-Freeman with Pastor Ben Wharton Jr. presiding. Burial will follow in the Green Park Cemetery.
